Our Commitment to Inclusion

The Muslim Civic Coalition, our partners, and allies are committed to serving diverse residents, families, and communities.

  • We will ensure gender equity in everything our organizations do and we will oppose and call for investigations of gender abuse, marginalization of women, and lack of female inclusion wherever and whenever we see or hear about it.

  • We will ensure the safety, support, and inclusion of Black, African American, and African Immigrant voices.

  • We will ensure every event and activity is inclusive of our residents with disabilities  - We have earned the MUHSEN Service-Certification and urge all organizations to do the same.

  • We will celebrate and support the voices and needs of our new Muslims and our convert/revert residents.

  • We will celebrate and support the voices and needs of the youth, and nurture youth leaders.

All Coalition WhatsApp groups, events, staff, and boards will continue to intentionally include diverse voices, regions, faces, and ideas.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

The Muslim Civic Coalition strives to provide an accessible environment for our community members with disabilities.

We are working closely with our partner MUHSEN, to make arrangements for the services mentioned below.

We have implemented an Accessibility Checklist when planning and executing all events.

All of our sponsored events have an accommodation statement on marketing material.

We fulfill all reasonable accommodation requests to the best of our abilities.

We provide American Sign Language interpreters and captioning for those who need them.

We use captions on our social media and video content.

Please reach out if you have questions, comments, or concerns as it relates to reasonable accommodation requests – info@muslimciviccoalition.org
