Sameer Afsar serves as a board member at the Muslim Civic Coalition.
Sameer is a technology executive. His career focuses on promoting companies’ efficiency through technology automation. He earned his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, specializing in Finance and Healthcare Management.
Sameer and his family moved into the Mecca Center community in Willowbrook, IL 4 years ago. He currently serves on the board at Mecca Center. Sameer leads the Civic Engagement, Special Events, and Youth Service Committee. Sameer was previously a board member at the Downtown Islamic Center and Apna Ghar, a domestic violence shelter. He has spent many years volunteering at IMAN. He is excited to bring his experience to the IL Muslim Civic Coalition’s future.
